Dr. Ebere Nzewuji, Media Aide to Fmr. Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State, has debunked rumours of his alleged death. The statement issued to the afore-mentioned effect reads:
“A fake viral message has been on social media in the early evening of Wednesday 6th November 2024 alluding to the demise of former Governor of Imo State, Sen. Rochas Okorocha in a London hospital.
At the time of the commencement of the fake news yesterday, Senator Okorocha was at his Unity House Garki Abuja office going about his normal duties. He has just returned from Owerri, Imo State where he attended the funeral ceremony of Late Elder Statesman Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu on Friday Ist November 2024 and also hosted at his Spibat Owerri Residence, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Benjamin Kalu and other Honourable Members of the House of Representatives.
His Excellency is hale and hearty; continuing his humanitarian works and attending to his numerous private business duties.
The general public should please disregard the wicked lies from mischief makers.”
