Renowned Nigerian music video director, ThankGod Omori Jesam, popularly known as TG Omori, has triumphantly returned to his craft following a challenging period marked by a failed kidney transplant. In August 2024, Omori underwent a kidney transplant at St. Nicholas Hospital in Lagos, with his only brother selflessly donating the organ. Unfortunately, the procedure was unsuccessful, leading to a prolonged recovery phase.
During his recuperation, Omori remained optimistic, assuring his supporters from his hospital bed that he would make a comeback in 2025.
True to his word, on February 18, 2025, he shared a photo on his X (formerly Twitter) account, depicting himself back on a music video set, camera in hand. He captioned the image, “Ok, let’s see if I can still rock this b***h.”
The announcement was met with an outpouring of support from fans and industry colleagues alike. Fellow director Director K expressed his joy, commenting, “Director K is happy to see TG Omori back with a camera after his kidney transplant.”
TG Omori’s resilience and dedication serve as an inspiration, highlighting his unwavering commitment to his art despite personal health challenges.
