…Arawole Urges Support for Tinubu, Shettima and Uba Sani
Adeshina Arawole, coordinator of the Team Tinubu-Shettima Movement 2027, has called for continuity and grassroots mobilisation during a World Food Day empowerment programme in Kaduna State.
Adeshina Arawole, Coordinator of the Team Tinubu-Shettima Movement 2027, has called for continuity in governance, praising President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reform agenda and urging supporters to mobilise ahead of the 2027 elections during a World Food Day empowerment programme in Angwan Boro, Kaduna State.
Arawole made the call during the community outreach organised by the movement to support residents and strengthen its grassroots engagement. He expressed confidence in the Tinubu administration’s policy direction and urged residents to support President Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima and Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani in the next general election.
“Let me tell you something, President Bola Tinubu is doing what needs to be done,” Arawole said. “The whole world is celebrating him because he’s doing what needs to be done.”
He urged residents to rally behind the political team, saying: “Vote for the winning team, vote for continuity, vote for progress.”
The programme combined community support with political mobilisation, as the movement sought to engage residents and encourage participation in its campaign ahead of the 2027 elections.
Arawole Calls for Grassroots Mobilisation Ahead of 2027 Elections
Expanding on the movement’s political objective, Arawole called on supporters to join its platform and mobilise residents in support of the candidates it backs.
“I’m calling on all of you to mobilise yourself and come under our umbrella to support President Tinubu and support our Governor Uba Sani,” he said, also mentioning Jerry Adams in his appeal.
Arawole explained that the gathering was part of a broader effort to bring people together and strengthen grassroots support for the movement’s preferred candidates.
“The idea is just to come together, mobilise people for the success of the election,” he said.
He added that the movement was fully committed to its chosen political candidates, declaring: “We are supporting them 100 per cent.”
The remarks underscored the programme’s dual purpose: providing community support while building political momentum ahead of the next general election.
World Food Day Outreach Targets Community Support
The World Food Day empowerment programme was presented as part of the movement’s community engagement activities in Kaduna State.
The initiative sought to support residents while drawing attention to concerns around food security, economic hardship and household welfare.
Beneficiaries expressed hope that ongoing government initiatives would translate into improved security, greater economic opportunities and better living conditions.
Their expectations highlight the issues likely to remain important to residents as political parties and movements seek support ahead of 2027.
World Food Day is observed internationally on October 16. The 2026 theme announced by Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and other stakeholders, is “Innovate Today, Nourish Tomorrow.”
Political Support Meets Expectations for Better Living Conditions
Arawole’s appeal for continuity reflects the movement’s stated position that the Tinubu administration and the Kaduna State Government should be given another mandate.
However, the outreach also placed residents’ expectations for tangible improvements in daily life alongside the movement’s political message.
Food affordability, personal security, economic opportunity and access to essential services remain important considerations for communities evaluating government performance.
For the movement, the challenge will be to translate its grassroots engagements into sustained community relationships and political support. For residents, the key question is whether government policies and programmes will deliver the improvements they expect.
The programme therefore served both as an empowerment initiative and as an opportunity for the Team Tinubu-Shettima Movement 2027 to communicate its political position ahead of the 2027 elections.
