A tragic incident has been reported in Sabon Birni Local Government Area of Sokoto State, where suspected bandits abducted a newlywed bride and four bridesmaids shortly after their wedding ceremony.
The abduction occurred on Saturday, December 7, 2024, in Kwaren Gamba near Kuka Teke, a village frequently targeted by armed groups loyal to notorious terror kingpin Bello Turji.
Security analyst and counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama revealed that the assailants stormed the area, forcibly taking the victims, leaving residents in a state of panic and despair.
The families of the abducted women are distraught, with local youth and community elders voicing deep frustration over the continued insecurity in the region.
