Emirates’ Business and Economy Class offerings have also proven highly popular among both business and leisure travelers on the Lagos-Dubai route. Additionally, the cargo capacity on Emirates’ 777 aircraft has been well utilized by shippers, facilitating the import and export of valuable Nigerian goods.
Since restarting flights to Lagos last year, Emirates has reported consistently strong and stable passenger numbers. According to the airline, its premium cabins have exceeded expectations, particularly given its unique offering of First Class services to Lagos, a distinction shared with only one other airline.
Emirates’ Business and Economy Class offerings have also resonated with travelers on the Lagos-Dubai route, catering to both corporate and leisure needs. Furthermore, the airline’s 777 aircraft cargo capacity is being leveraged by shippers to transport valuable Nigerian imports and exports.
“Emirates has received overwhelmingly positive feedback from customers, while also fostering strong relationships with key partners in Nigeria’s aviation, tourism, and trade industries,” the airline said.
Emirates marked a significant expansion in Nigeria in February 2025, through an interline partnership with Air Peace. This agreement enables Emirates to extend its reach to 13 additional Nigerian cities, offering travelers enhanced connectivity and access to its premium services.
The move comes just five months after the resumption, demonstrating the airline’s unwavering commitment to scaling its operations to better serve travellers in Nigeria.
