Nollywood actor and filmmaker Femi Adebayo has unveiled the star-studded cast of Jagun Jagun 2: War of Warriors, the sequel to his 2023 Yoruba epic, Jagun Jagun: The Warrior.
The cast announcement was made in a video shared on Adebayo’s social media pages on Friday, October 16, 2026. The new instalment features a mix of established Nollywood performers, Fuji musicians and comedy stars.

Actor Muka Ray and comedian and content creator Cute Abiola are also listed among the new faces joining the production. Veteran actor Taiwo Hassan, widely known as Ogogo, is included in the announced cast.
The lineup has attracted attention because it brings together performers associated with different parts of Nigeria’s entertainment industry, from Yoruba-language cinema and mainstream Nollywood to Fuji music and comedy.
Netflix is scheduled to premiere Jagun Jagun 2: War of Warriors on December 4, 2026, according to announcements reported by Nigerian media.
Returning Stars Reunite for the Yoruba Epic Sequel
Alongside the new additions, several actors from the original Jagun Jagun are expected to return, maintaining continuity with the characters and story world introduced in the first film.
The returning performers include Lateef Adedimeji, Bimbo Ademoye, Bukunmi Oluwashina, Odunlade Adekola, Ibrahim Yekini, popularly known as Itele D Icon, Fathia Balogun, Adebayo Salami, Muyiwa Ademola, Yinka Quadri and Dele Odule.
The combination of familiar faces and new cast members gives the sequel a broader ensemble. However, the filmmakers have not publicly detailed every actor’s character or explained how each new performer will fit into the storyline.
Adebayo praised the cast’s contribution, saying the performers brought different qualities to the fictional world, including power, anger and moments in which silence communicated more than dialogue. He also described a production process involving rehearsals, retakes, laughter and unexpected moments behind the scenes.
The filmmaker said the cast ultimately brought their different personalities together to tell one story, adding that audiences would have to watch the performances to appreciate the results.
What to Expect From Jagun Jagun 2: War of Warriors

As Gbotija’s abilities become apparent, he emerges as a potential threat to Ogundiji’s authority.
The first film was directed by Tope Adebayo Salami and Adebayo Tijani. It received recognition at major African film awards, including two wins at the 2024 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards: Best Indigenous Language Movie (West Africa) and Best Costume Design. It also won three prizes at the 2024 Africa Movie Academy Awards.
The sequel’s full plot and the roles of its newly announced cast members have not yet been publicly detailed in the reports reviewed. Nevertheless, its combination of returning actors, fresh faces and performers from the music and comedy industries has helped generate interest ahead of its release.
