From A Heart Of Gratitude To A Movement Of Grace: Shade Foundation Unveils A Ministry Of Compassion

Published:

In a world often deaf to quiet acts of kindness, a profound movement has taken root, not from a grand ambition, but from a whisper of gratitude.

The Shade Foundation, a testament to the transformative power of faithful giving, is poised to step into the light with its official launch on December 26, 2025.

This is not merely the birth of another non-governmental organization; it is the formal consecration of a sacred calling that began in 2022 as a tender, personal covenant between its founder and God.

The story of the Shade Foundation is one of humble beginnings and divine multiplication. It started with founder Folashade Adesanwo reaching out from her own limited means to widows, single mothers, and hungry families—simply because a grateful heart compelled her to act.

What began as quiet, personal charity evolved into a profound revelation: that giving is ministry, worship, and obedience.

“I realised that giving is not just charity. It is ministry. It is worship. It is obedience,” shares Adesanwo.

This spiritual conviction blossomed into the Shade Foundation, a community of believers united by the biblical mandate to feed the hungry, lift the widows, and give to the poor as an act of lending to the Lord.

The official launch event, themed as a Thanksgiving-style unveiling, will be held at the Church Auditorium Mountain of Blessing and Miracle in Ajah, Lagos. It represents the first public gathering of this “movement of compassion.”

The launch will integrate several initiatives under its compassionate umbrella: the Shade Foundation itself, Mira Agro Foods, the Mira Food Bank, the Feed & Earn Africa 2025 Festive Drive, and Voices of Gratitude.

The core mission is immediate and impactful: to provide food, essential supplies, wearable clothes, and hope to 1,000 vulnerable families, widows, single mothers, and children this festive season.

Folashade Adesanwo extends a heartfelt invitation to individuals, families, businesses, and churches to join this “divine assignment.”

Support can be rendered through physical presence at the event or via donations to the provided bank details.

The foundation stands on the powerful belief that giving is a lifestyle accessible to all, a seed that multiplies and changes destinies.

As the Shade Foundation lifts off, it carries a clear identity: a light of hope, a home of compassion, and a ministry that feeds both bodies and souls, proving that when we give, we don’t just change lives—we honour God.
