Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, has extended heartfelt Christmas wishes to Ndi Anambra and Nigerians nationwide, emphasizing the season’s message of love and hope. In a goodwill message, Governor Soludo highlighted the enduring significance of Christmas as a time to reflect on God’s boundless love and the hope brought by the birth of Jesus Christ.
“This special season reminds us of God’s boundless love and the enduring spirit of hope that the birth of Jesus Christ brings to humanity. Indeed, sharing love and embracing hope is the redeeming essence of Christmas,” he said.
The Governor called on Ndi Anambra and Nigerians to embody the spirit of Christmas through acts of selfless love and perseverance amid life’s challenges. He also extended his condolences to the families affected by the recent Okija stampede tragedy, wishing them strength during this difficult time.
“At the same time, he also wished the various families who lost their loved ones in the sad recent Okija stampede the strength to bear the loss,” the Governor noted.
To ensure a peaceful and joyful celebration for citizens returning to the state, Governor Soludo reassured residents and visitors of enhanced security arrangements throughout the holiday season.
“The administration has put in place comprehensive security measures to ensure Ndi Anambra celebrate peacefully with their loved ones,” he assured.
Additionally, the Governor announced improvements in Anambra’s road networks and traffic control systems to facilitate seamless travel across the state during the festive period and beyond.
“The road networks across the State and good traffic control have also been significantly improved to facilitate smooth movements and travels during this festive period and beyond,” he said.
Governor Soludo concluded his message by wishing everyone a joyous and prosperous Christmas celebration.
“Therefore, Governor Soludo wishes all a Merry Christmas filled with joy, peace, and prosperity,” the statement read.
