Tragedy struck in Barikin Ladi, Plateau State, as unknown gunmen assassinated Muhammad Adamu, the Chairman of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) in the area. The shocking attack occurred at his residence on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, shortly after he had broken his fast for the day.
Confirming the incident, the Plateau State Chairman of MACBAN, Ibrahim Yusuf Babayo, condemned the killing and called on security operatives to ensure that those responsible are apprehended and brought to justice.
“This is a tragic loss. We urge security agencies to swiftly investigate this crime and ensure that the perpetrators face the full weight of the law,” Babayo stated.
Meanwhile, a community youth leader, Alhaji Danjuma Ibrahim, who also confirmed the assassination, revealed that Adamu’s body has been deposited at the Barikin Ladi General Hospital, with burial arrangements scheduled for Thursday according to Islamic rites.
