IBLCDA Inaugurates New Executive Team To Drive Glory Agenda

– Aroyewun swears in Secretary to Local Government, Supervisors and Special Advisers

The Executive Chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (IBLCDA), Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun, today inaugurated a member of the Executive team comprising the Secretary to the Local Government, Supervisors, and Special Advisers at the Council Secretariat

The ceremony marks a significant step in the administration’s effort to accelerate development and deepen service delivery across the LCDA.

The event drew distinguished personalities from across the political and traditional spectrum, underscoring the importance of the occasion. Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, Asiwaju of Igbogbo Kingdom and member of the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), graced the ceremony alongside members of the Adeboruwa-in-Council. The All Progressives Congress (APC) was strongly led by Hon. Taiwo Orenuga, Party Chairman for Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, and other Party Leaders in attendance. The IBLCDA Legislative Arm, led by Hon. Basirat Banjoko, attended in full force, demonstrating the synergy between the legislative and executive arms. Council Management Staff also witnessed the historic occasion.

DASCENARIO reports that Alhaji Qudus Oduntan assumes office as Secretary to the Local Government, serving as the administrative anchor of the executive council.

Chairman Aroyewun charged the new team to deliver on his administration’s five-pillar development framework:

R – oads and physical infrastructure

Y – outh and sports development

“Public office is not about prestige; it is about purpose,” Aroyewun told the appointees. “It is about the lives we touch, the opportunities we create, and the legacy we leave behind.”

The inauguration follows months of administrative preparation and reflects the Chairman’s commitment to inclusive governance. The Legislative Arm has worked in cooperation with the executive since the administration began.

The Council has already delivered road rehabilitation, school renovation, healthcare improvements, and youth empowerment programmes. Today’s appointments aim to expand these gains.

“The oath you have taken is not merely a constitutional requirement; it is a solemn commitment to serve with integrity, diligence, and an unwavering sense of responsibility,” Chairman Aroyewun said.

The new team assumes duty immediately, with specific directives to engage actively with communities, bring forward innovative policy ideas, maintain unity and resist division, deliver measurable impact in everyday lives.
