Kendrick Lamar Leads 2025 American Music Awards Nominations With 10 Nods

The 2025 American Music Awards (AMAs) nominations have been announced, with Kendrick Lamar leading the pack with 10 nominations. The awards ceremony is scheduled for May 26, 2025, and will be broadcast live from Las Vegas.

Leading the Nominations

Kendrick Lamar’s 10 nominations include major categories such as Artist of the Year, Album of the Year for GNX, and Song of the Year for his hit single “Not Like Us.” He is also nominated in the Favorite Hip-Hop Song category three times, for “Like That” featuring Future and Metro Boomin, “Not Like Us,” and “Luther” featuring SZA.

Following Lamar, Post Malone garnered eight nominations, including Favorite Male Country Artist and Favorite Country Album for F-1 Trillion. Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, and Shaboozey each received seven nominations, with Roan making history as the first artist to be nominated in all three new categories: Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Social Song of the Year.

Other Notable Nominations

Taylor Swift, aiming to extend her record of 40 AMA wins and seven Artist of the Year titles, has six nominations. Beyoncé’s Grammy-winning album Cowboy Carter earned nominations for Album of the Year and Favorite Country Album, and she was also recognized in the Favorite Female Country Artist category.​

The 2025 AMAs will feature performances by various artists, including host Jennifer Lopez, and will be streamed live on CBS and Paramount+.
