…. ushers in new year with a blend of governance , gratitude and celebration
On January 8, 2024, the Kosofe Local Government staff members gathered for their highly anticipated Annual Staff General Meeting and Prayer.
The event was honored by the notable presence of Hon Barr Moyosore Ogunlewe, the Executive Chairman, along with the Vice Chairman Hon Oluwole Sosanya, Leader of the house Hon Idowu Oluloro, the Secretary to the Local Government Hon Gbadebo fatai, Council Manager Mr. Olanrewaju Olalere and other distinguished career and political officers of the council. The meeting commenced with a solemn prayer session, establishing a reflective aura for the rest of the proceedings.
In his opening speech, the Head of Admin and HR Mr Odesanya Michael welcomed all members of staff and implored them to always be punctual. He emphasized the importance of looking simple but corporate at workplace.
During the meeting, Council Manager Mr. Olanrewaju Olalere took the time to emphasize the significance of exhibiting exemplary behavior and maintaining professionalism among the employees. As he concluded his remarks, NULGE Chairman Comrade Oyefesobi Raufu expressed his sincere appreciation to Hon Ogunlewe for providing a staff bus and clinic. He also urged for ongoing support in their operations and brought up the importance of addressing staff welfare needs.
Hon Barr Moyosore Ogunlewe delivered a heartwarming speech, ushering in the new year and extending a warm welcome to all attendees. He wholeheartedly pledged his administration’s unwavering support for the smooth functioning of the bus and clinic. He also unveiled an ambitious plan to revamp the infrastructure, with the upcoming council hall planned to host the next annual meeting. Furthermore, he announced the dissolution of the revenue committee and promised a revamped strategy for revenue collection in the near future.
The meeting was more than just a discussion of business matters – it was a joyful celebration in honor of Internal Auditor Comrade Okunola Adeleke’s birthday. This fusion of work and merriment made for a truly unforgettable beginning to the year.
