The Ogun State Police Command has apprehended Mr. Adekunle Odukaye, a commercial motorcycle operator residing at Oke Baale, Ado Odo Ota, for physically assaulting his three-year-old son, Boluwatife Odukaye.
On February 28, 2025, a disturbing viral video surfaced online, showing an adult male brutally kicking and maltreating a minor.
The footage sparked public outrage and raised concerns over child abuse.
In response, the Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Ogunlowo, ordered an immediate investigation to identify the suspect and ensure the child’s safety.
Thanks to the swift action of the Sango Ota Divisional Police Officer, Mr. Adekunle Odukaye was arrested.
During interrogation, he confirmed being the biological father of the child in the video.
The police have since collaborated with medical professionals to assess Boluwatife’s condition and ensure his well-being.
