Benin City, Edo State – Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has strengthened his administration with the swearing-in of three new appointees into critical positions. The ceremony, held at the Government House in Benin City, underscores the governor’s commitment to enhancing governance and driving development across the state.
The newly appointed officials include:
Mr. Emmanuel Okoebor as Commissioner for Finance, Dr. Paddy Iyamu as Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), and CP Friday Ibadin as Chairman of the Edo State Security Corps Governance.
Governor Okpebholo, while congratulating the appointees, charged them to utilize their expertise to deliver transformative leadership. “I urge you to leverage your wealth of experience to serve the people of Edo State effectively. Teamwork and dedication to our collective goals remain key to our success,” he said.
He further expressed optimism about the appointees’ ability to foster growth in their respective areas, stating, “I have full confidence in your capacity to drive positive change and contribute meaningfully to the state’s development.”
The event was graced by Deputy Governor Rt. Hon Dennis Idahosa, Secretary to the State Government Barr. Musa Ikhilor, Chief of Staff Mallam Audu Gani, Head of Service Anthony Okungbowa, Esq., alongside top government officials, traditional rulers, and key stakeholders.
