Tinubu 2027: Princess Bolanle Kazeem Unveils Grassroots Mobilisation Plan Across Lagos’ 57 LGAs, LCDAs

Published:

Princess Bolanle Kazeem says the Support Tinubu for Better Nigeria 2027 group is working to establish a presence across Lagos’ 57 local government and local council development areas, with grassroots engagement and public awareness at the centre of its plans.

LAGOS, Nigeria — Princess Bolanle Kazeem has disclosed that members of the Support Tinubu for Better Nigeria 2027 group are working to establish a grassroots network across Lagos State’s 57 local government areas and local council development areas, as part of efforts to strengthen support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Kazeem made the disclosure during an awareness press conference organised by the group’s National Executive Committee (EXCO) at Airport Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos, on Thursday, October 15, 2026.

She said the initiative was designed to expand the group’s reach, increase awareness of what it considers the achievements of the Tinubu administration, attract more members to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and encourage supporters to communicate the President’s record at the grassroots.

“This is part of what we have come for. With the launching of this, we can see that it is going to affect the President positively,” Kazeem said, describing the group’s activities as part of its effort to build support for Tinubu ahead of the next election.

Kazeem Highlights Grassroots Strategy for Tinubu 2027

According to Kazeem, members of the support group, including its network in the United States, are working towards establishing members across the 57 local government and local council development areas in Lagos State.

She said the strategy would involve direct engagement with residents and communicating information about the administration’s activities, with the aim of strengthening public awareness and growing the group’s membership.

“We have been working as CTOs to ensure that we reach the grassroots and inform them of what Asiwaju has been doing, so that we can get more members into APC,” she said.

Kazeem added that the group wanted supporters to speak about the President’s record and help communicate its message within their communities.

Her comments place local-level organisation and political communication at the centre of the group’s stated strategy ahead of the 2027 elections.

Lagos Infrastructure and Political Mobilisation

Kazeem also pointed to infrastructure and other developments in Lagos State, saying what she described as the achievements of the APC had helped the group’s mobilisation efforts.

She said these developments had made it easier for supporters to communicate their political message in the state.

Her remarks reflect the group’s intention to draw on its assessment of the APC’s record in Lagos while encouraging grassroots participation and support for Tinubu.

The extent to which the strategy will expand the group’s reach or influence voter choices ahead of the 2027 elections remains to be seen.

Personal Contributions to Fund Group Activities

On how the initiative would be funded, Kazeem said the group relied on personal contributions, particularly from a leader she identified in the interview as “KG, Professor Oluwadilu.”

She did not disclose the amount contributed or provide a detailed breakdown of the group’s funding arrangements.

The disclosure highlights personal contributions as a stated source of support for the group’s planned activities, although further details about its finances and operational structure were not provided at the press conference.

Babatunde Olokun Announces Awareness Conference

The event banner identified Hon. (Dr.) Babatunde Olokun as the group’s National Organising Secretary and co-founder, and listed him as the announcer of the awareness press conference.

The event was held under the theme of supporting Tinubu for a “Better Nigeria 2027”, signalling the organisation’s stated intention to mobilise support for the President ahead of the next general election.

The group’s announcement comes as political organisations and support networks begin positioning themselves ahead of the 2027 electoral cycle.

Grassroots Outreach Ahead of 2027

Kazeem’s remarks underline the importance the group attaches to community engagement, membership expansion and communication of the administration’s record.

The proposed network across Lagos’ 57 local government and local council development areas represents an organisational ambition. Its eventual reach and impact will depend on implementation, sustained engagement and the response of residents.

The group has presented its initiative as a means of strengthening support for Tinubu, while the wider political landscape ahead of 2027 will continue to evolve as parties and affiliated organisations develop their strategies.
