Suspected Kidnappers Abduct Corps Member In Ekiti State

Suspected kidnappers have abducted a corps member, Ojo Caleb Temidayo, while he was traveling to his hometown, Ogotun Ekiti, Ekiti State, to celebrate Christmas with his family.

The incident occurred on Sunday, December 22, 2024, near Omuo Ekiti, Imo State, as Temidayo was traveling from Owerri, Imo State, where he is currently serving.

Confirming the abduction, Ojo Johnpaul Kolawole, a family member, took to social media to appeal for public assistance in securing Temidayo’s safe release.

“We are appealing to Nigerians and relevant authorities for help. Ojo Caleb Temidayo, a serving corps member, was kidnapped by unknown gunmen near Omuo Ekiti while traveling to Ogotun Ekiti for the Christmas celebration. Any information or assistance to ensure his safe return will be greatly appreciated,” Kolawole wrote.

The incident has drawn concern from various quarters, as security challenges persist in several parts of the country. Authorities and community leaders have been urged to intensify efforts to rescue Temidayo and ensure his safety.
