Authorities in Abeokuta, Ogun State, are working to reunite three young siblings with their family after they were found wandering the streets on December 27, 2024.
The children were discovered by a Good Samaritan, Junaid Oluwakemi, who noticed them loitering near the VIO Kotopo office without clear direction or purpose. Concerned for their safety, Oluwakemi approached the trio, but they were unable to provide adequate information about their destination. She subsequently escorted them to the nearest police station around 1:04 PM.
The siblings have been identified as:
- Adenekan David, a 7-year-old boy.
- Adenekan Opeyemi Aje, a 4-year-old girl.
- Adenekan Ayisa, a 2-year-old girl.
The Anti-Crime Unit of the Ogun State Police Command has launched an investigation and is actively working to locate the children’s parents or guardians.
Authorities have urged anyone with information about the family or the children’s identity to contact the nearest police station. Community support is critical to ensuring the siblings are safely reunited with their loved ones.
