In a shocking and tragic incident in Kubwa, Abuja, a pregnant woman has reportedly been arrested for allegedly killing a woman she suspected of being involved with her husband.
According to reports shared by a lawyer on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the victim, identified as Lisa (surname withheld), had visited the couple’s home on Christmas Day in 2024. During the visit, the man’s pregnant wife allegedly doused Lisa in petrol and set her ablaze.
Lisa was immediately rushed to the National Hospital in Abuja, where she succumbed to her injuries despite medical efforts to save her life. The incident has sparked widespread outrage and debate online.
Friends of the deceased took to X to mourn her untimely demise, emphasizing that Lisa was merely a friend to the man and not romantically involved with him. They revealed that Lisa has since been laid to rest at Gudu Cemetery in Abuja.
In their posts, her friends expressed relief that justice is being pursued, with the arrest of the suspect providing some solace amidst their grief. “We are happy she is finally getting the justice she deserves,” one post read.
