The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced the assumption of Assistant Comptroller General (ACG) Charles Osikhena Orbih as the new Zonal Coordinator for Zone ‘A’ Headquarters in Ikeja, Lagos. ACG Orbih officially took over leadership on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, pledging to foster teamwork, innovation, and stakeholder engagement in his inaugural address.
In line with the policy thrust of the Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, which emphasizes consolidation, collaboration, and innovation, ACG Orbih expressed his dedication to strengthening the Zonal structure and ensuring effective service delivery.
“My vision is rooted in teamwork, innovation, and active engagement with relevant stakeholders to achieve our collective objectives. Together, we will ensure Zone ‘A’ remains a benchmark for excellence in customs operations,” ACG Orbih stated.
A seasoned officer with a distinguished career spanning decades, ACG Orbih has been a member of several professional bodies. His extensive experience is complemented by training in leadership and management both locally and internationally.
Before his appointment as Zonal Coordinator for Zone ‘A,’ ACG Orbih served in various high-profile capacities, including:
Customs Area Controller, Imo/Abia Command
Customs Area Controller, Murtala Muhammed International Airport Command
Zonal Coordinator, Zone ‘C’ Headquarters
As he assumes leadership, stakeholders and officers in Zone ‘A’ are optimistic about his ability to elevate operations and maintain the zone’s strategic importance in customs management.
