
The Office of Political Legislative And Civic Engagement has began the distribution of the Food Boxes Palliatives to Lagos Residents, across all Lagos Local Government Divisions, as a succour to each household.
The Special Adviser to The Governor, on the Office of Political Legislative And Civic Engagement, Hon. Dr. Afolabi Tajudeen Abiodun declared the distribution of Palliatives open on Tuesday, at the Adeyemi Bero Auditorium, Alausa secretariat ikeja, to the Aged’ and the people of Lagos, saying it is done according to the Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu ‘s commitment, to passionately take care of the people due to the present economic situation of the country.
He expressed that every beneficiary are expected to come with the LASRRA cards, fill the government provided forms to state their Names, Address, Local Government Area, Phone Numbers and Signature, because the Lagos State Government will not tolerate double collection of Palliatives, for other Lagosians to benefit from it.
He warned them further that anyone who come back again for double collection and caught, shall be arrested and dealt with.
While he urged others not to worry, that the number of the Local government which benefitted in this section of Palliatives, shall be disclosed after all data must have been collated.
He informed therefore that other further programmes for other days shall be made known to the public when the time is right.
The Permanent Secretary of the Office of Civic Engagement, Engr. Abiola Kosegbe stated in her address, that there are additional benefits that the Office, rolls out to lagosians, apart from the distributed Palliatives, which is duly ranged from giving Financial Assistance to the Vulnerable Indigenes, and the Physically Challenged.
“For us at the Civic Engagement Office, we have the Citizen Gate Platform which enjoins all Lagosians to log on to the website, so as to complain about their needs, and any agency in Lagos State. She said.
One of the Palliatives Beneficiaries, & Ojodu Berger Resident, Mrs. Adebayo MARY expressed her joy over the Food Box Palliative that she received, as the release of the Palliative, blessed her unexpectedly, and she prayed however for the progress and prosperity of the Lagos State Government.
