Seyi Law Calls Out Tunde Ednut Over Alleged Birthday Gesture From President Tinubu

Published:

Nigerian comedian Seyi Law has stirred controversy after publicly confronting popular influencer Tunde Ednut, accusing him of hypocrisy in his dealings with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In a bold social media post, Seyi Law claimed that while some public figures, including Ednut, have been critical of the President in public spaces, they quietly benefit from his generosity behind the scenes. The comedian referenced a specific incident involving a birthday gesture from President Tinubu, suggesting that Ednut may have received personal goodwill from the presidency.

“You can’t publicly bash someone and then privately accept gestures from the same person,” Seyi Law said, directing his comments pointedly at Ednut.
“Let Tunde Ednut deny that President Tinubu didn’t make a significant gesture for him on his birthday. I dare him.”

While Seyi Law did not disclose the exact nature of the gesture, his statement has sparked heated discussions online, with fans and critics alike debating the transparency and integrity of celebrities in their political alignments.

Seyi Law, who has been a vocal supporter of President Tinubu both before and after the 2023 elections, has never shied away from defending the administration’s policies. This latest development underscores ongoing tensions between pro-Tinubu entertainers and others in the industry who have voiced disapproval of the government.

As of now, Tunde Ednut has not publicly responded to the accusation.
