Funke Ashekun’s Boastful Video Resurfaces After $300,000 Court Loss To MFM, Sparks Mockery And Debate

Published:

It is no longer news that one of MFM’s biggest and unrepentant detractors, Funke Ashekun, has been disgraced and defeated by MFM in a US Court just a little over a week ago. In a sweeping judgement that went wholly in favour of MFM, Funke was ordered to pay a whopping sum of $300,000 in damages to the ministry. And the minute the judgement was delivered, right there before the glare of the world, Funke Ashekun collapsed, sending the court room into panic with many scared she may have suffered a severe heart attack. Her husband was also reported to have suffered same fate the day before the judgement was delivered when it became obvious where the pendulum was swinging. For some inexplicable reasons best known to Funke and her husband, she had boasted repeatedly and never failed to tell anyone that cared to listen that victory would be hers at the court. But things took a different turn, God showed up for MFM.

Almost two weeks after this landmark judgement was delivered, bringing to an end an intense and protracted legal battle between the cantankerous Funke Ashekun and the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), members of the church and admirers of the General Overseer of the ministry, Dr. Daniel Olukoya, are still talking about the court victory and the closure it has finally brought to the falsehood spread by Funke and her cohorts about the church.

And now, barely two weeks after, another fresh reason why lovers of MFM will not stop mocking Funke over her humiliation in court has emerged.

In what will very clearly go down now as a classic moment of illogical bravado and bizarre show of faith, an old video of Funke Ashekun has suddenly resurfaced. In the said video, Funke, boisterous as ever, could be seen boasting and declaring that victory was going to be hers at the court because her battle against MFM was of the Lord’s.

“God will disgrace all of you!” she could be heard boasting. “The way God will disgrace all of you in that court, you will wish you never sued me, by the power of the most high God,” she’d added.

Still reeling in unfounded confidence, she’d continued in the said video:

“This is me o, Funke, I am nothing. But, you see, I serve a big God, a great God. That God will show you! He will disgrace you in court! He will defeat you because this is the Lord’s battle!”

Unfortunately for Funke, as it eventually turned out, the only person that was disgraced was herself. Not MFM. Not Dr. Daniel Olukoya. Only Funke Ashekun. Despite all of her unfounded claims that God actually called her to wage war against MFM and spread malicious lies and fabrications against the ministry and its founder, Dr. Daniel Olukoya, the outcome of the case has proven otherwise. She didn’t only lose the case, she will have to pay a whopping $300,000 in damages to MFM! Now, that’s a humongous amount of money Funke will definitely go through a lot of agony to come up with, if she can. So, the question is, if indeed God instructed her to declare war against MFM, then why didn’t the case go in her favour?

What this old video establishes quite clearly is the fact that God never asked this lady to embark on the senseless war she declared against MFM. Every lie, every malicious fabrication, every defamatory remark she spewed against MFM and Dr. Olukoya was totally and completely her own creation, she had no backing from the Lord whatsoever, hence her monumental disgrace in court. But most importantly, contrary to her claims of having had a calling greater than that of some of the most respected Clergies in the land, this video not only disproves her claim, it also underscores, without a shred of doubt, that Funke Ashekun has absolutely no calling at all.

Long before the court ruling, it was reported that Funke was so obsessed with her desire to pull down MFM that she employed multiple individuals and paid them handsomely to defame MFM and its founder and bring both to disrepute. But like others before her had done, and like many of type will also do, they will all contnue to experience utter failure and shame in their pursuit to bring down MFM, one of the world’s fastest growing ministeries at this time.

According to a high ranking pastor of the church who spoke to The Prime Citizens.com.ng, MFM is unmoved by these distractions coming from the camp of Funke Ashekun and her cronies. Hear him:

“The earlier these clowns realise MFM is already a Global institution and they cannot pull it down, the better for them,” he stated confidently. “This is a ministry founded by God and owned by God Himself, our Daddy in the Lord is only a caretaker of the church. This is why, despite all the diabolic activities and efforts of these embittered elements to bring the ministry to disrepute, MFM continues to grow bigger and stronger by the day. It remains focused solely on its mission to deliver as many as are held captive in bondage and use their deliverance as testimonies to the fact that God is still on the throne. Funke Ashekun has fallen, many more of her type will fall, the God of MFM never sleeps!” he concluded.

Funke Ashekun’s Boastful Video Resurfaces After $300,000 Court Loss To MFM, Sparks Mockery And Debate

Barely two weeks after a United States court delivered a sweeping judgment in favor of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), ordering its vocal critic Funke Ashekun to pay $300,000 in damages, an old video of the embattled woman has resurfaced, drawing fresh attention to her dramatic courtroom defeat and the claims she once made of divine backing.

In the video, which has since gone viral across social media platforms, Ashekun is seen boasting with unshaken confidence that victory would be hers in the legal battle against MFM. She declared that her fight against the ministry was “the Lord’s battle” and that God would disgrace all who opposed her.

“God will disgrace all of you!” she proclaimed in the clip. “The way God will disgrace all of you in that court, you will wish you never sued me, by the power of the most high God. This is me o, Funke, I am nothing. But, you see, I serve a big God, a great God. That God will show you! He will disgrace you in court! He will defeat you because this is the Lord’s battle!”

A Dramatic Reversal in Court

The resurfaced video stands in stark contrast to what unfolded in the courtroom just over a week ago. In a judgment that went wholly in favor of MFM, Ashekun was ordered to pay a whopping sum of $300,000 in damages to the ministry. According to witnesses, the moment the judgment was delivered, Ashekun collapsed in the courtroom, sending panic through the venue as many feared she may have suffered a severe heart attack.

Her husband reportedly suffered a similar fate the day before the judgment was delivered, when it became clear which direction the pendulum was swinging. For months leading up to the trial, Ashekun had repeatedly boasted to anyone who cared to listen that victory would be hers. She had framed her campaign against MFM as a divine assignment, insisting that God had called her to expose the ministry and its founder, Dr. Daniel Olukoya.

The Resurfaced Video: A Classic Moment of Illogical Bravado

The old video has now become a focal point of discussion among members of MFM, admirers of Dr. Olukoya, and critics of Ashekun’s campaign. Many view it as a classic moment of illogical bravado—a bizarre show of misplaced faith that has now been exposed by the outcome of the court case.

“If indeed God instructed her to declare war against MFM, then why didn’t the case go in her favour?” asked one social media user, echoing a question that has been raised repeatedly since the judgment was delivered.

Observers note that the video not only disproves Ashekun’s claims of divine backing but also underscores the fact that her campaign against MFM was entirely self-motivated. Despite her insistence that she was fighting “the Lord’s battle,” the court’s ruling suggests otherwise.

A History of Defamation and Obsession

Long before the court ruling, reports had surfaced that Ashekun was so obsessed with her desire to pull down MFM that she employed multiple individuals to defame the ministry and its founder. She was said to have paid handsomely for campaigns aimed at bringing both to disrepute.

However, like others before her who have attempted similar campaigns, Ashekun’s efforts have ended in failure. MFM supporters point to the outcome as proof that the ministry is divinely protected and that no amount of human effort can bring it down.

MFM Remains Unmoved: “The God of MFM Never Sleeps”

Speaking to journalists, high-ranking pastor of MFM dismissed Ashekun’s campaign as a distraction that the ministry has long since moved past. He described the continued efforts to discredit MFM as the work of “clowns” who fail to recognize the global stature of the ministry.

“The earlier these clowns realise MFM is already a global institution and they cannot pull it down, the better for them,” the pastor stated confidently. “This is a ministry founded by God and owned by God Himself. Our Daddy in the Lord is only a caretaker of the church. This is why, despite all the diabolic activities and efforts of these embittered elements to bring the ministry to disrepute, MFM continues to grow bigger and stronger by the day.”

He added: “It remains focused solely on its mission to deliver as many as are held captive in bondage and use their deliverance as testimonies to the fact that God is still on the throne. Funke Ashekun has fallen, many more of her type will fall. The God of MFM never sleeps!”

Closure for MFM, Agony for Ashekun

For members of MFM and supporters of Dr. Olukoya, the court victory has brought closure to a long and bitter legal battle that was fueled by falsehoods and malicious fabrications. The judgment, which awarded $300,000 in damages to the ministry, is seen as vindication and a warning to others who may consider similar campaigns of defamation.

For Ashekun, however, the aftermath has been one of profound humiliation. Not only did she lose the case, but she now faces the daunting challenge of paying the $300,000 awarded to MFM—a sum that many consider impossible for her to raise. Her collapse in court and her husband’s reported collapse the day before have only added to the sense of tragedy surrounding the saga.

As the resurfaced video continues to circulate, the contrast between her boasts and the reality of her defeat has become a cautionary tale about the dangers of claiming divine backing for actions driven by personal obsession.
