IGBOGBO/BAIYEKU LCDA, LAGOS – As Christians across Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, Ikorodu Division, and the world gather to observe Good Friday 2026, Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun, Executive Chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, has issued a heartfelt message calling on the faithful to pause in solemn remembrance of the ultimate sacrifice made on Calvary.

In a tribute that bridges faith and leadership, Chairman Aroyewun reflected on the profound love that carried the Saviour to the cross, invoking the timeless promise that “He shall save His people from their sins” – words that capture the very essence of Christ’s redemptive mission.

Addressing Christian brothers and sisters within his council area and beyond, the Chairman urged residents to embrace the spirit of Good Friday not merely as a historical observance but as a moment of deep personal and communal renewal.

“Let us reflect on the depth of His love, the weight of His sacrifice, and the hope that was born even in the shadow of the cross,” Chairman Aroyewun said.

The message, which also extended warm wishes for a meaningful and blessed Good Friday, serves as both a spiritual guide and a unifying call for residents of Igbogbo/Baiyeku to recommit themselves to love, service and mutual upliftment as taught by Christ.

Today, we solemnly remember the ultimate sacrifice. On this Good Friday, we stand in awe of the love that carried our Saviour to the cross. “For He shall save His people from their sins”, these words echo the very heart of Christ’s mission, fulfilled through His suffering and death for our redemption.

To my dear Christian brothers and sisters across Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA and beyond, let us pause in reverence and gratitude. Let us reflect on the depth of His love, the weight of His sacrifice, and the hope that was born even in the shadow of the cross.

May this day draw us closer to the foot of Calvary, where mercy met mankind. May it renew our commitment to love, serve, and uplift one another as Christ has taught us.

Wishing you a meaningful and blessed Good Friday.

Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun

Executive Chairman
