Emerging Nigerian artist Lil Smart has made serious allegations against his former record label members, Naira Marley and Zinoleesky. In an emotional Instagram post, Lil Smart claimed that the two musicians orchestrated an attack on him on Sunday, December 8.

According to Lil Smart, he was “kidnapped” by Naira Marley and Zinoleesky and taken to a secluded area where their associates, identified as “INN” and “MMP,” assaulted him. He alleged that they stripped him naked and attempted to break his legs using stones.

Miraculously, he managed to escape and fled to a nearby expressway, still unclothed.
The singer shared a video of his injuries, which included bruises on his legs, arms, and face, with visible bloodstains. He also posted a clip showing Zinoleesky purportedly chasing him along the expressway.
Lil Smart further accused Naira Marley of betraying him, claiming he created the viral Tesumole dance in 2019 for Marley, who he now alleges is trying to harm him. He went on to label the record label as “Apayan (killer) record rebel.”

In his post, Lil Smart shared screenshots of messages suggesting the label plans to harm him in a manner similar to what allegedly happened to Mohbad, another former label member. Mohbad died in 2023 under suspicious circumstances, with accusations of intimidation and harassment against Naira Marley and associate Sam Larry drawing widespread condemnation from Nigerians.
Lil Smart insists he has photo and video evidence to substantiate his claims. The accusations have sparked renewed scrutiny of the record label, which has faced repeated allegations of misconduct and violence.
The case is unfolding as fans and observers call for justice and accountability in Nigeria’s music industry.
