Mr John Ifeanyi Oparaji, author of the book “Bola Ahmed Tinubu; The Architect of Modern Nigeria,” says the book can encourage young Nigerians to embrace hard work and determination. Speaking at a press conference in Ikeja, he called for wider circulation of the publication in Nigeria and abroad.
LAGOS, Nigeria — Mr John Ifeanyi Oparaji, author of “Bola Ahmed Tinubu; The Architect of Modern Nigeria,” has said the book is intended to encourage young Nigerians to embrace hard work, determination and commitment to principles that contribute to national development.
Oparaji made the remarks during an awareness press conference organised by the National Executive Committee of the Support Tinubu for Better Nigeria 2027 group at Airport Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos, on Thursday, October 15, 2026.
The event provided a platform to introduce the book and discuss the importance of making its contents accessible to a wider audience in Nigeria and beyond.
Clarifying the nature of the event, Oparaji stressed that it was a press conference to introduce the publication, not a formal book launch.
He said the objective was to ensure that the book did not remain within a limited circle but circulated widely enough for more Nigerians to understand its contents and engage with the ideas presented.
“We don’t want this book to just remain within our circle. We want it to go around. It is good for everyone to know the character of the book and to understand,” he said.
Book Aims to Inspire Youths Through Lessons on Determination
Oparaji identified youth development as one of the key areas where he expects the book to make an impact.
According to him, the story of the individual profiled in the publication offers lessons about persistence, personal growth and the effort required to achieve significant goals.
He argued that young people could draw inspiration from the subject’s journey and apply those lessons to their own ambitions and contributions to society.
“This book will shape the character of our youths when they read through this book,” he said.
Oparaji urged young Nigerians not to remain passive about their aspirations, but to pursue worthwhile goals with determination and stand firmly for principles they believe will benefit the economy.
He emphasised that progress requires commitment and sustained effort rather than relying on ambition alone.
Author Calls for Wider Circulation in Nigeria and Abroad
The author said the publication needed to reach audiences beyond the immediate circle of its promoters, stressing the importance of making its message available nationally and internationally.
He described wider circulation as an important part of publicising the book and helping readers understand its subject and central message.
Oparaji also welcomed the prospect of the book reaching academic institutions, saying that broader distribution would allow more people to engage with its contents.
The proposed circulation could create opportunities for discussion among young people, educators and other readers interested in leadership, personal development and Nigeria’s political and social evolution.
Support Group Introduces Book at Tinubu 2027 Press Conference
The press conference was organised by the National Executive Committee of the Support Tinubu for Better Nigeria 2027 group under the theme “Support Tinubu for Better Nigeria 2027.”
The event banner identified Hon. (Dr.) Babatunde Olokun as the group’s National Organising Secretary and co-founder.
The gathering combined the group’s awareness activities with the introduction of “Bola Ahmed Tinubu; The Architect of Modern Nigeria,”, a title that reflects the publication’s focus on leadership and the development of modern Nigeria.
However, the event was not presented as a formal book launch. Any subsequent launch, distribution programme or public presentation would be a separate activity unless confirmed by the organisers.
Promoting Determination and National Development
Oparaji‘s comments placed emphasis on the role of books in shaping attitudes, especially among young people who are developing their ambitions and understanding of public life.
His appeal for wider circulation reflects the view that publications on leadership and national development can contribute to public discussion when their contents reach audiences beyond their immediate promoters.
The book’s eventual impact will depend on its accessibility, the engagement it generates among readers and the extent to which its lessons are examined and applied.
