Tweeting on X, Ohis Ojeabuo, a medical practitioner, revealed how corrupt men of the Nigeria Police Force extorted the sum of N59,000 from him and his colleagues in Lagos, for allegedly parking on the road.
According to the post shared by the medical doctor, he and his colleagues were on their way to work when their vehicle unexpectedly developed a mechanical fault which forced them to park.
He said no sooner had the officers seen them than their initial demand for the sum of N250,000 was tendered for the parking, which they deemed an offence which put up the vehicle for confiscation.
He said it wasn’t till after challenging them and making them drive around, that they were grudgingly accepted the sum of N59,000.
