The IGP highlighted the Nigeria Police Force’s efforts in maintaining law and order, intensified operations against criminal activities, and community policing initiatives.
He emphasized the importance of a holistic approach to security, acknowledging challenges and calling for strengthened institutions, community engagement, and regional cooperation.
Vice President Shettima advocated for local policing, comprehensive police reform, and enhanced collaboration among security agencies. He assured Nigerians of improved security, noting that Nigeria’s security is crucial for Africa’s stability.
The summit aimed to formulate strategies for ensuring the security, safety, and well-being of citizens in the North West region.
