The highly anticipated MTV Base Roundtable is back for its 2024 edition, bringing together Nigeria’s top media personalities to review the year’s most defining moments in the music industry.
Scheduled to air on Thursday, December 28, 2024, at 8:00 PM WAT on MTV Base (DStv Channel 322, GOtv Channel 72), the show promises a mix of engaging debates and insightful commentary on the highs and lows of African music in 2024.
This year’s Roundtable will focus on three key segments: the Biggest Music Wins of 2024, the Most Controversial Celebrities, and the much-anticipated Top 20 African Artists of the Year.
Hosted by MTV Base Culture Squad member Ilooise ‘Ilo’ Omonhinmin, the panel will feature prominent media personalities, including Do2dtun, DJ Six7even, Taymi B, N6, Ejino, and ICE, who will share their diverse insights on the year’s most significant music stories and trends.

The 2024 edition will spotlight major milestones, including Tems’ groundbreaking debut album, Born In The Wild, Rema’s chart-topping singles MARCH AM and OZEBA, and Ayra Starr’s meteoric rise to global stardom.
Additionally, the show will delve into the year’s most buzzworthy controversies, including the explosive online feud between Afrobeats giants Wizkid and Davido on X (formerly Twitter).
