Seplat’s Chioma Yvonne Afe Celebrates Inclusion In Top 50 Female Industry Changemakers

Chioma Yvonne Afe, Director of External Affairs and Sustainability at Seplat Energy Plc, was celebrated as one of Nigeria’s Top 50 Female Industry Changemakers,  at a prestigious awards ceremony held on Friday, December 12, 2025, at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos, in recognition of her outstanding leadership and strategic impact across Nigeria’s corporate landscape

The event, themed “Inspire, Achieve, Aspire: The New Generation Career Women,” honored leading female professionals driving innovation and influence across sectors.

Chioma Afe currently serves as the Director of External Affairs and Sustainability at Seplat Energy, where she leads a high-performing team in managing corporate branding, stakeholder engagement, and alignment with the company’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals. Her role is pivotal in shaping Seplat’s public profile and sustainability agenda within Nigeria’s dynamic energy sector.

With over two decades of cross-industry experience, Afe has held strategic leadership positions at some of Nigeria’s most prominent organizations. Prior to joining Seplat, she was the Group Head of Marketing and Communications at Access Bank Group and a member of its Africa Leadership Team. She also served as Head of Corporate Communications at Diamond Bank Plc and held managerial roles at MultiChoice Nigeria (DSTV), Cadbury Mondelez, Airtel, Coca-Cola Nigeria, British American Tobacco (BATN), Andersen, and Tequila Nigeria Limited.

Beyond her corporate achievements, Afe is an active advocate for women’s leadership and professional development. She serves as a Board Member of Women in Management, Business & Public Service (WIMBIZ) and is an Executive Committee (EXCO) member of the Advertisers Association of Nigeria (ADVAN), contributing to industry standards and gender-inclusive growth.
