It was a tale of sorrow, tears and blood a few days away from the turn of the new year, when armed bandit kidnappers struck in the evening of thursday, December 28, 2023, killing an engineer, Martha Kwaghdoo Anderson, for trying to evade their attempt to kidnap her, on the Makurdi-Naka Road in Benue State.
According to motorists, the deplorable state of the road is responsible for the frequent abductions along the f Naka/Makurdi Federal highway, with many gory tales of numerous people that had been forcefully abducted to an uncertain fate, often, never to be seen again.
Meanwhile, Friends, family members and colleagues of the deceased have taken social media to mourn her, perhaps, with the most touching one being the one posted by a mentee.
It read:
